Supply Chain Portal

Chris Gallup, CFO of Ideation, an Ann Arbor-based catalog and marketing company, contacted us in search a better services to the company's network of over 500 independent retailers and more than 100 product vendors nationally. Chris explained that outdated, hard-to-integrate applications made it difficult and expensive to fulfill orders for Ideation's wide array of unique catalog items.

In less than 6 months, our development team replaced Ideation's legacy order fulfillment application with a custom Rackspace®hosted solution built with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and Jasper Reports. The new solution includes an ordering portal for retail store owners, a web-based administrative management interface, and a range of analytics and reports available to Ideation managers.

"Information Works has provided us with outstanding service. They are always friendly and courteous and very easy to work with to help us solve the IT problems we have presented. Recently, they helped us develop a new order entry application to replace the old and outdated application we were using. They were able to provide us with a solution that meets our current needs as well as our budget. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable and trustworthy application vendor.”

Chris Gallup, Chief Financial Officer – Ideation Inc., Ann Arbor

Service Equipment E-Catalog
Cheryl Baron, President/CEO of The Word Baron in Farmington Hills, produces automotive service equipment catalogs in both print and electronic formats. With the need to turn around simultaneous print and web versions within very tight deadlines, Cheryl asked us to develop a solution to meet a unique mix of content management requirements.

Working with the Word Baron's creative staff and the Drupal web content management platform, we developed a web-based process enabling the simultaneous publishing of the service equipment catalog in print and web formats, giving Cheryl's client a unique competitive advantage.
